Oru Naal Varum postponed to June 25
Sreenivasan duo's much-awaited Oru Naal Varum, which was slated as the big summer release of Mohanlal on May 14, has been postponed to June 25. The film is produced by Manian Pillai Raju and directed by Rajiv Kumar. The duo is coming together nearly six years after their last smash hit Udayananu Tharam."Too many films released last Friday (May 7), and there is acute theatre shortage. We thought of delaying it by a week to May 21, but the monsoon is due in Kerala in the last week of May. After consulting trade experts, we have now decided to release the film on June 25," the makers said. Oru Naal Varum recently bagged a clean ‘U’ certificate.
Oru Naal Varum revolves around a farmer (Mohanlal) who comes to Thiruvananthapuram after selling everything in his village for the sake of his children's higher education. He buys a plot of land hoping to build a house in the city, without realizing how difficult it will be. After drawing the plan of his new house, he submits it to the Town Planning officer (Sreenivasan) at the Corporation office. His troubles begin from then on.
